The Fifth Floor Farm Bed and Breakfast at the Art Mill is located in the hamlet of Jeffersonville, N.Y.,on the banks of the noted Trout Stream, Callicoon Creek, which flows into the Delaware River about ten miles away. This area is in what was known as the Great South Woods and has farms scattered through out this forest with many streams and lakes where migratory birds come to look at the tourist and towns folk.

The mill was built as a Grist Mill, where it took locally grown grains and made animal feeds for farmers in the vicinity. In 1900 it served as a storehouse for Italian cheese made at a nearby creamery. The original wooden structure was rebuilt in 1912 and later an addition, with huge beams was added on. At some point the mill closed and the millstones were bought by Irving Berlin (song writer) to be used as tabletops for his lawn at his country estate. In the 1980’S noted Artists Geyer and Scalisi renovated the Mill and its grounds to make it their Gallery and Residence.
