Faye Chan and Fred Price bring backgrounds of professional photography, jewelry making and weaving, in addition to interests in jazz, chess, gardening, farming travel and food.
Our major accomplishments are in Food! with more than 20 years serving the Union Square Greenmarket in New York City. Our Kitchen has grown from a fifth floor upper Manhattan walk-up to a Catskill farm kitchen. Fifth Floor Farm Kitchen has an international reputation due to the use of quality ingredients and culinary mastery. We are resourceful and inventive but still maintain a respect for food traditions from here, Europe and Asia.
When possible the ingredients are home grown, local, organic and seasonal. On our mini farm we grow ducks, geese and both silky and regular chickens for their eggs. We also have Asian pears, peaches, apples vegetables and a variety of mushrooms in their seasons.
